Submitting maps¶
Mappers make the maps Kacky plays, and getting a map into an event starts with a submission.
A mapper can submit a map straight from Discord. They drop in the map file along with a replay that proves the map can actually be finished, and Kacky reads the file to fill in the details automatically: the name, the author, the author time, the thumbnail. No typing any of it in by hand, and no way to fake the numbers, because the values come from the file itself (see How Kacky reads maps).
From there a group of jurors takes over. They play the map, judge it, and decide whether it's ready for an event. That review is how Kacky keeps the difficulty and the quality where the community expects them.
A better submission tool is on the way
Submitting through Discord works today, but a smoother, dedicated submission tool is being built. This page will grow as it lands.
