Discord Bot

Kacky's Discord bot keeps the community in the loop and quietly does a few jobs behind the scenes.

• It shouts about the good stuff. When someone sets a world record, clears a brutal map, or climbs to a new rank, the bot posts it in Discord. It's listening to the platform for exactly those moments, so the announcements land as they happen.
• It takes map submissions. Mappers send a new map to the bot to get it into the review queue. See Submitting maps.
• It helps gather clips. Community clips get pulled together with the bot's help.

The bot sits on both sides of the platform: it listens for things worth announcing, and it also asks the backend directly when it needs to look something up. Because the announcements come from the same events that update your records, what the bot says and what the website shows never disagree.
